Lockheed to Provide Engineering Support for Trident II Navigation System

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, Mitchel Field, New York, was awarded a $55,719,955 cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract on September 29, 2017 to provide United States and United Kingdom Trident II (D5) strategic weapon system navigation subsystem technical engineering support services. The contract will provide United States and United Kingdom fleet support, trainer systems support, logistics management, shipboard systems integration increments 8 and 13 training curricula design and development, test equipment, spares, tools, material procurement, and U.S. Ohio-class SSBN engineered refueling overhauls. The maximum dollar value of the contract, including the base items and all option items if exercised, is $108,575,087. The work will be performed in Mitchel Field, New York, and work is expected to be completed August 2018. If all options are exercised, work will continue through August 2020. Subject to the availability of funding, fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance (Navy) funds in the amount of $46,312,102; other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $2,849,513; and United Kingdom funds in the amount of $6,558,340 will be obligated on this award.
