ManTech Secures $959 Million Defense IT Contract

Herndon, Virginia-based ManTech International Corp. was awarded a managed services contract to provide worldwide enterprise information technology (IT) solutions for an unidentified Department of Defense agency. The $959 million single award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a 10-year period of performance, according to the company. "This important win reflects intensive effort by ManTech in crafting a strategic approach that will deliver top quality Enterprise IT with speed, flexibility and efficiency,” said Kevin M. Phillips, ManTech president and CEO. “Our solutions will map best-in-class technology tailored to a wide range of applications, leverage new advances as they emerge, and evolve in step with mission growth and change.”

Rick Wagner, who joined the company in February as president of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions Group, added that "At nearly $1.0 billion, the award represents a significant investment in IT modernization that will strengthen and secure infrastructure, networks, and end points, and reflects ManTech’s commitment to this agency’s critical missions."

In March, the ManTech group secured a contract award from the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, to provide counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism support.
