TCG is Helping to Modernize the FCC's Electronic Comment Filing System
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has awarded a contract to Washington, D.C.-based TCG to assist with the modernization of the FCC's Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS). Through the ECFS, the public and industry are able to submit comments on possible FCC regulations. Under the $5 million, 2-year contract, TCG will support the modernization of the system using AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, and other technologies, to ensure that the ECFS is flexible, scalable, and reliable. The goal is to improve the way public comments are captured, categorized, and synthesized for analysis at the FCC.
“Public comments are an important aspect of the rulemaking process at the FCC,” said Daniel Turner, President of TCG. “We love to make key government systems better. The new ECFS will enhance citizens’ and business’s ability to interact with the FCC, and will streamline the agency’s ability to take in and process important information around a vital area of the country’s infrastructure.”
