Exelis to Develop Electronic Warfare and C3 Tech

Exelis Inc., Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded $25,089,863 for cost-plus-fixed-fee task order 0031 to previously awarded, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract N00173-12-D-2023 to provide technical and engineering support toward the design, development, integration, test and operation of command and control, electronic warfare, communication and sensing systems. The contractor will be part of a team to provide tailored technical collection target planning and innovative technical collection plans. The planning and modeling shall leverage existing technical assessments and signatures. Work will be performed in Washington, District of Columbia, and work for the task order is expected to be completed June 23, 2017. Fiscal 2016 operations and maintenance (Army, Air Force, Department of Defense) funds in the amount of $25,089,863 are being obligated at the time of award. Funds in the amount of $1,852,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured under a request for proposal (N00173-10-R-JR12) with two offers received. The Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
