Exelis to Provide Precision Approach Radar to U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force

Exelis Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Harris Corp., Van Nuys, California, is being awarded a $70,288,630 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of a maximum of 42 commercial-off-the-shelf Precision Approach Radar (PAR) systems for the Army (21), Navy (16) and Air Force (5), to replace the currently fielded AN-FPN-63(V). This contract also includes the uninterruptible power supplies, training and ancillary installation support for each PAR system. Work will be performed in Van Nuys, California, and is expected to be completed in May 2021. Fiscal 2014 other procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $6,252,158 are being obligated at time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via a full and open solicitation request for proposals; two offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity (N68335-16-D-0019).
