General Dynamics Awarded Contract by Army Corps of Engineers for Information Technology Management in Afghanistan

General Dynamics Information Technology has received a $32 million contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Afghanistan Engineer District (AED) to provide information technology management services in Afghanistan to support USACE-AED reconstruction and infrastructure development programs. The contract has a potential value of $32 million over five years if all options are exercised. General Dynamics will manage an in-country network and will provide critical communications between USACE-AED operations and the continental U.S. The satellite and network communications infrastructure will provide enhanced video, voice and data communications for USACE-AED operations throughout Afghanistan.
