General Dynamics to Provide Common Aviation C2 Systems
General Dynamics C4 Systems, Battle Management Systems Division, Scottsdale, Arizona, is being awarded a $9,147,485 modification to previously awarded contract M67854-12-C-0211 to exercise an option for the procurement of five Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S) limited deployment units (LDUs). Exercise of this option brings the total production of CAC2S LDUs to nine. Work will be performed in Scottsdale, Arizona (56 percent); Fulton, Maryland (35 percent); Huntsville, Alabama (4 percent); San Diego, California (3 percent); and Hollywood, Maryland (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by September 2017. Fiscal 2016 procurement (Marine Corps) funds in the amount of $9,147,485 will be obligated at the time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This modification is awarded against a limited source competitive procurement wherein four offers were solicited and received in accordance with 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1). The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
