General Dynamics Receives Additional Funds for Ship Monitoring System

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Incorporated, Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded a $6,775,647 contract modification for the procurement of the Multipurpose Processor and Total Ship Monitoring System spares under the Acoustic Rapid Commercial Off the Shelf Insertion (ARCI) program requirements for fiscal 2012. The multipurpose processor is used within the ARCI program to improve submarine acoustic processing capability on Seawolf and Virginia class submarines. ARCI is a sonar system that integrates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship sensor processing. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
