GeoEye Awarded Predictive Analytics Contract

GeoEye Analytics Inc., Herndon, Virginia (HHM402-16-C-0012), which has merged with Digital Globe, Westminster, Colorado, was awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a maximum ceiling value of $55,300,000. The contract supports the management and maintenance of all-source geospatial predictive analysis services. These services include gathering, analyzing and manipulating data for geospatial predictive modeling. Work will be performed in the national capital region (NCR). This acquisition was obtained via an exception to the fair opportunity process required by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements,” and FAR 6.302-3, “Industrial mobilization; engineering, development, or research capability; or expert services.” In order to determine the contract award, a lowest price technically acceptable review was conducted in accordance with FAR 15.3, “Source Selection,” and was supplemented by the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. One proposal was received. The estimated completion date of the contract is June 19, 2021. The Virginia Contracting Activity, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
