FLIR Systems to Enhance Surveillance Systems in Afghanistan
FLIR Systems Incorporated, Wilsonville, Oregon, is being awarded a $7,434,530 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to exercise an option for 10 Star SAFIRE 380 high-definition systems to outfit and enhance the capabilities of the existing Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems that are currently fielded for the Army. Work will be performed in Afghanistan; Yuma, Arizona; and Wilsonville, Oregona, and is expected to be completed in December 2012. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.
