Kent Optronics to Provide Night Vision Systems

Kent Optronics Inc., Hopewell Junction, New York, is being awarded a $47,600,000 Small Business Innovation Research Phase III, firm-fixed-price, basic ordering agreement for wide field-of-view night vision systems, retrofits and data. The wide field-of-view night vision system uses optical foveal design that features an 80 degree field-of-view without compromising optical resolution or size, weight and power consumption. The night vision systems will be used by Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, Coast Guard, Air Force and Navy users. Work will be performed in Hopewell Junction, New York, and is expected to be completed by May 2021. No funds will be obligated at time of award. This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with statutory authority 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(5) authorized or required by statue (15 U.S.C. 638(r)). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity (N00164-16-G-JQ15).
