Kokolakis Contracting to Build Joint Air Traffic Control Tower

J. Kokolakis Contracting Incorporated, Tarpon Springs, Florida, is being awarded a nearly $11 million contract for construction of the joint air traffic control tower at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans, Louisiana. The work to be performed provides for the construction of a seven level air traffic control tower, including the cab that will provide day and night visual and instrumental operations and a reserve air traffic control facility. The new tower will be equipped with National Airspace System Modernization equipment. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southeast, Jacksonville, Florida, is the contracting activity.
