L-3 Receives $170 Million Special Operations Command Contract

L-3 Global Communications Solutions Incorporated, Victor, New York, was awarded a contract with a ceiling of $170 million for the integration, configuration, test and sustainment of the Special Operations Forces Deployable Node-Lite (SDN-L) in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command Research, Development and Acquisition Center. The SDN-L will provide the tactical communicator an enhanced operational capability; an increase in bandwidth/data throughput; enhanced security capability; and an overall size and weight reduction as compared to existing legacy systems. U.S. Special Operations Command is the contracting activity.
