L-3 Receives $200 Million U.S. Air Force Contract to Provide Targeting Systems

L-3 Communications has announced that its WESCAM subsidiary has been awarded a third indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force. Valued at $200 million, the funding from this contract will be used to purchase the latest generation of L-3's MX-15Di targeting systems, complete with high-definition sensors, and MX-20D targeting systems, also with high-definition sensors, for an undisclosed customer. Over an 18-month period, three contracts have been awarded to WESCAM, enabling the Air Force to purchase a total of $400 million of products and services.
