Lockheed Martin Wins Navy Helicopter Interface Contract
The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin a $14.75 million contract to integrate a digital messaging interface into the service's MH-60R anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare helicopters that will allow them to transmit information to warships via a new Ku band tactical data link. The air to ship Ku band downlink will allow the helicopters to stream large volumes of data to Navy strike group commanders.
