Lockheed Martin Wins Navy JATAS Contract
The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin a $33 million contract for the technology demonstration phase of the Joint and Allied Threat Awareness System (JATAS). Under the contract, the company and its partners will demonstrate JATAS prototypes during a 16-month performance period ending January 2011. JATAS will provide helicopters with an integrated infrared based missile warning, laser warning and hostile fire indication defensive suite.
