Lockheed Supports Undersea Warfare System

Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, Manassas, Virginia, is being awarded a $34,211,960 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-13-C-5225) to exercise a one-year option for engineering services, travel and other direct costs in support of the Navy's AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 surface ship undersea warfare system and shore site development systems. The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a surface ship undersea warfare combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts, and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects and torpedo threats. 

The contract is for development, integration and production of future advanced capability build and technical insertion baselines of the AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 undersea warfaresystems. Work will be performed in Manassas, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by May 2016. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation and fiscal 2015 operations and maintenance (Navy) funding in the amount of $1,463,000 will be obligated at the time of award. Contract funds in the amount of $350,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
