NAVSEA Awards Contract for Arleigh Burke-Class Destroyer Support
Philadelphia Gear Corporation has been awarded an $80 million firm-fixed-price contract for main reduction gears for the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers. This contract, let by the Naval Sea Systems Command, includes options which, if exercised, would bring the contract's full value to $425 million. Work will be performed in nine separate locations and is expected to be completed by July 2013.
