Navy Awards $14 Billion Contract for Eight Virginia-Class Submarines

General Dynamics' wholly owned subsidiary, Electric Boats, and its teammate, Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding, have been awarded a contract valued at $14 billion by the U.S. Navy for the construction of eight Virginia-class submarines.
