Northrop Grumman to Add Tactical Data Link to E-6B Aircraft
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $10,298,096 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract N00019-12-C-0096 to exercise an option to build, install and test modifications to the E-6B aircraft, incorporating the Multi-Role Tactical Common Data Link B-Kit No. 3, B-Kit No. 4 and B-Kit Spares No. 2. Work will be performed in Salt Lake City (75 percent) and San Diego (25 percent) and is expected to be completed in September 2017. Fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $10,298,096 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
