Northrop Supports Airborne Communications Node in Afghanistan
Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Northrop Grumman Information Systems, Herndon, Virginia, has been awarded a firm-fixed-price $50,304,260 modification (P00024) to exercise the option on previously awarded contract (FA8726-13-C-0001) for the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node E-11A platform. The contractor will provide comprehensive tasks and provide personnel, facilities, aircraft subsystems and support equipment. Work will be performed at Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan and Wichita, Kansas, and is expected to be complete by January 23, 2016. Fiscal year 2015 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $50,304,260 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity.
