Raytheon Awarded SLAMRAAM Long-Lead Purchase Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded Raytheon Company a long-lead purchase award, not to exceed $18 million, leading to low rate initial production of the company's Surface Launched Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (SLAMRAAM). The missile is a flexible air defense system designed to defeat a range of threats such as cruise missiles, unmanned aerial systems and manned aircraft.
