SAIC Awarded $49 Million Contract by Air Force Research Laboratory - Directed Energy Directorate

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Directed Energy Directorate, High Power Microwave Division, to support high energy research and applications. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a six-year period of performance and a total contract value of $49 million. Under the contract, SAIC will develop state-of-the-art systems and advance scientific knowledge in the area of directed energy technology. SAIC will deliver high power microwave components, including sources, portable prime power, pulsed power conditioning systems, antennas and novel sources of high energy density plasmas in an effort to advance the state-of-the-art and scientific knowledge in directed energy and related technology.
