Col. Kathleen Swacina, USA (Ret.), is CEO/CIO of Kolibri Strategy. She has more than 30 years of military and 10 years industry experience in providing strategic leadership, direction, oversight and support for complex technology programs, including network architecture, cybersecurity and data center consolidation. She now serves with the Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute (HISPI), where she helps lead Project Cerebellum, promoting responsible development of artificial intelligence (AI), and she is a vice chair of the AFCEA International Homeland Security Committee and a member of the AFCEA Board of Directors.

Aprille Ericsson is assistant secretary of defense for science and technology (S&T). She directs the organization responsible for oversight and advocacy of the Defense Department S&T enterprise, including workforce and laboratory infrastructure policy, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and University-Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs).

James P. Craft Jr., is an AFCEA life member and has been a member of AFCEA’s Cyber Committee since 2008. He has led committee efforts in acquisition reform, national security emergency preparedness, cybersecurity and innovation. And he helped lead an effort to draft a National Innovation Strategy to be presented to the incoming administration. He is senior executive at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), where he serves as senior advisor to the Office of the CIO. He has 20 years’ experience in industry and more than 25 years of federal service.

Reva Schwartz is a research scientist in the Information Technology Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where she serves as principal investigator on artificial intelligence (AI) bias and program lead for the Assessing Risks and Impacts of AI (ARIA) program. A socio-technical researcher, she researches real-world testing methodologies for evaluating the societal impacts of AI systems and driving understanding of socio-technical systems and practices within organizational settings.
