Technica Corp. Wins Joint Worldwide Intelligence System Contract
Technica Corp.,* Sterling, Virginia, has been awarded a $7,975,990 task order (FA8732-14-D-0015-SJ03) to previously awarded Network-Centric Solutions-2 (NETCENTS-2) contract for operations and security sustainment services. Contractor will provide technology services to manage and sustain current operations, and to evolve the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise into a secure, robust and regionalized network to support the various national and Air Force missions worldwide. Moreover, the partnership with the selected company provides Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise the ability to meet full operational capability on schedule, optimize project management of information technology requirements and to mature the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise. Work will be performed at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas; and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be complete by Jan. 28, 2018. This award is the result of a small business, set-aside acquisition with six offers received. Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $7,975,990 are being obligated at the time of award. Acquisition Management and Integration Center, Detachment 2 Contracting Office, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, is the contracting activity.
