General Dynamics to Provide Submarine Tactical Control System Software
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Inc., Fairfax, Virginia is being awarded a $32,721,919 modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-09-C-6250) for AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control Systems (TCS) Technology Insertion (TI-14) Advanced Processing Build (APB-15) software for delivery to multiple submarine platforms. General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems will complete AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control Systems (TCS) Technology Insertion (TI-14) Advanced Processing Build (APB-15) software for delivery to multiple submarine platforms. They will commence migration of TCS from TI-14 baseline to TI-16 and integrate APB-15 to support the lead variant test readiness review (TRR) during FY16. Additionally, this contract continues maintenance activities for TI-14 APB-13 and earlier baselines. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by July 2016. Fiscal 2015 research, development test and evaluation funding in the amount of $3,872,306; fiscal 2015 other procurement, Navy funding in the amount of $1,802,252; Fiscal 2015 Armaments Cooperation Projects, Royal Australian Navy in the amount of $766,324 and Fiscal 2013 shipbuilding and conversion, Navy contract funds in the amount of $283,275, will be obligated at time award. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
