U.S. Air Force Purchases E-8C Engines From Northrop Grumman

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation a $223.6 million contract for two E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) propulsion pod system shipsets and Federal Aviation Administration certification. Each shipset contains four Pratt and Whitney JT8D-219 engines, pylon assemblies and assorted aircraft system interconnections.
