U.S. Marine Corps To Receive Helicopters Through Commercial Contract

Bell Helicopter Textron Inc. has received a $546 million firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to manufacture and deliver UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters for the Marine Corps. Under the terms of the contract, awarded by the Naval Air Systems Command, Bell will provide 18 new UH-1Y aircraft; nine remanufactured AH-1Z aircraft; and two new AH-1Z aircraft. Work is expected to be completed in July 2013.
