U.S. Navy Modifies Airborne Laser Mine Detection Contract
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Aerospace Systems, Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $8,413,214 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract N00024-15-C-6318 for a provisioned item order of retrofit kits for Airborne Laser Mine Detection Systems in support of Program Executive Office littoral combat ships. Work will be performed in Santa Clarita, California (46 percent); Melbourne, Florida (34 percent); and Tucson, Arizona (20 percent), and is expected to be complete by December 2018. Fiscal 2014 and 2016 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $8,413,214 will be obligated at time of award. Contract funds in the amount of $4,413,214 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
