Physical Optics to Provide T-45C Digital Data Kits

Physical Optics Corporation, Torrance, California, is being awarded a $7,117,251 firm-fixed-price contract for the production and delivery of 116 digital data set kits for use on existing T-45 aircraft. This contract also provides for the production and delivery of 240 mission data transfer units in support of the T-45C aircraft. Work will be performed in Torrance (77.5 percent), and San José, California (22.5 percent), and is expected to be completed in March 2017. Fiscal 2014 and 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $7,117,251 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to the FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity (N00019-15-C-0039).
