U.S. Navy Procures Walk-Through Metal Detectors
Rapiscan Systems Incorporated, Torrance, California, is being awarded a $7,251,250 firm-fixed-priced, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for walk-through metal detectors, V440 transformers, training, spare parts, and data. The walk-through metal detectors will increase the safety of personnel and property of the Navy. The detectors will be used at entry control points to eliminate and detect the presence of handguns, knives, metal tools, and equipment entering and leaving Navy facilities. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Indiana, is the contracting activity.
