AFCEA’s education offerings include discounts with our educational preferred providers, instructor-led and online courses, and sessions that qualify as CompTIA, GIAC and/or CertNexus continuing education for certification maintenance. Each of these categories of education includes online opportunities to study for certification exams or maintain certifications so reexamination is not required.
Our Preferred Providers, American Public University System, Montreat College and SANS Institute, offer courses, certificates and degrees through which the course content helps to prepare the student for a certification exam. AFCEA Preferred Providers are NSA/DHS Centers of Academic Excellence institutions or a certifying agency that supplies DOD 8570.01-M accepted certifications in cyber defense or operations.
If you have earned a certification that requires maintenance, AFCEA International and chapter events, instructor-led courses and SIGNAL webinars may provide approved continuing education. CompTIA reviews for A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, PenTest+, CySA+, CASP+. GIAC reviews for their family of certifications. CertNexus reviews for CyberSec First Responder.
Additionally, CompTIA and/or GIAC have reviewed and approved AFCEA instructor-led courses “Military Satellite Communications in a Net-Centric World Virtual Course” and “Principles of Communications and Networks” in addition to SIGNAL webinars such as:
• What is the Key to Cyber Resilience in Our Post-COVID-19 World?
• How to Secure Wi-Fi to Enable Classified Tactical Mobility
• Filling in the Missing Link in Zero Trust
• An Imminent Need to Secure the Federal Software Supply Chain

• High Speed Secure Networking at the Edge
These and many other SIGNAL webinars are available on demand at www.afcea.org/site/webinars-demand.
