AFCEAN of the Month, December 2025
Christopher Bennett, a business development manager with FWG Solutions Inc., serves as the assistant vice president of programs for AFCEA’s Alamo Chapter. Bennett began his impactful journey with AFCEA as an emerging leader in 2019, where he quickly distinguished himself as a central figure for event planning and delivery.
In his role as assistant vice president, he leads the planning, coordination and execution of the chapter’s monthly program events that serve as platforms for connection, communication and collaboration between government, industry and academia across the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) landscape. These events range from networking luncheons to nontraditional gatherings designed to engage the chapter’s wider membership demographics, often featuring senior executives and subject matter experts addressing topics critical to defense and national security. Bennett’s leadership has attracted new members, boosted recruitment and strengthened community engagement, significantly impacting the chapter’s success.
Bennett brought together more than 20 senior executives from across the Department of the Air Force’s warfighting communications and cyberspace operations communities for an exclusive networking social with industry. It was exceptionally well-received by both industry and government participants and is evolving into an annual tradition. He also hosted the assistant deputy chief of staff for warfighter communications and cyber systems as the guest presenter at a monthly networking luncheon. Through this engagement, Alamo Chapter membership gained invaluable mission and business insights into the future of the U.S. Air Force’s warfighting communications architecture.
Bennett drives the value proposition development for each program event to ensure that all participants benefit both professionally and personally. He strategically schedules monthly program events and event themes to culminate in the chapter’s annual capstone event, the AFCEA Alamo Cybersecurity Exposition. Bennett’s leadership is instrumental in transforming the Alamo Chapter’s program events to better capitalize on changes across the JBSA ecosystem.
Bennett’s efforts help position the Alamo Chapter as a driver of digital transformation and reinforce San Antonio’s role as a national hub for technology, innovation and thought leadership. His efforts within AFCEA and beyond have garnered the attention from the Alamo community, who commend his passion, diligence and leadership.
