Boeing Provides Greater Insights into Satellite Manufacturing

The Boeing Co., El Segundo, California, has been awarded a $16,622,453 modification (P00080) to previously awarded contract FA8808-10-C-0001 for increased government insight of Boeing's satellite manufacturing process. The contract allows for the government's increased role in assuring mission capability and asset longevity for Wideband Global SATCOM Block II follow-on satellites. Work will be performed at El Segundo, California, and is expected to be complete by February 28, 2018. Fiscal 2016 missile procurement funds in the amount of $16,622,453 are being obligated at the time of award. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the contracting activity.
