Boeing to Upgrade P-8A Training System
The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $144,939,328 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-14-C-0067) for production concurrency upgrades for the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime aircraft training system in support of the Navy and the government of Australia. The training system upgrades are required for the training devices to be fully functional, ready for training and to meet future mission capabilities. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Florida (48 percent); St. Louis, Missouri (39 percent); Adelaide, Australia (7 percent); Whidbey Island, Washington (5 percent); and Dallas, Texas (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2018. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy); and cooperative agreement funds in the amount of $51,077,952 will be obligated at time of award, $43,600,469 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchase for the Navy ($131,894,788; 91 percent); and the government of Australia ($13,044,540; 9 percent). The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.
