Globe Machine Secures SBIR II Contract to Develop Aerospace Composite Structures

Globe Machine Manufacturing Co., Tacoma, Washington, has been awarded a $8,376,704 cost-plus-fixed-fee Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) III contract to continue the development and demonstration of Technology for Agile Rapid Manufacturing of Aerospace Composite Structures (TARMACS). Work will be performed in Tacoma, Washington; and Kettering, Ohio, and is expected to be completed 33 months after award. This award is the result of a SBIR program competitive acquisition, and multiple Phase I offers were received. Fiscal year 2020 3600 research and development funds in the amount of $8,296,800 are being obligated at the time of award.
