Sierra Nevada to Test Medical Hands-Free Device Prototype for the Army
Sierra Nevada Corp., Sparks, Nevada, was awarded a $7,285,595 hybrid (cost, cost-plus-incentive-fee, and firm-fixed-price) contract for First Article Testing prototypes of a Medical Hands-Free Ultra-Wideband Broadcast device capable of meeting airworthiness. One bid was solicited with one bid received. Work will be performed in Sparks, Nevada, with an estimated completion date of August 25, 2023. Fiscal year 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $3,614,043 were obligated at the time of the award.
