Lockheed to Develop System of Systems Architectures

Lockheed Martin Corp. - Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, has been awarded a $36,399,316 cost reimbursement contract for research and development for Phase 2 of the System of Systems Integration Technology and Experimentation (SoSITE) program. Contractor will develop system of systems architectures to maintain U.S. air superiority in contested environments; demonstrate rapid integration mission system into architectures; and demonstrate the combat effectiveness and robustness of those architectures. Work will be performed at Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be complete by October 30, 2019. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition with two offers received. Fiscal 2016 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $5,250,000 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8650-16-C-7656).
