Lt. Gen. John Dubia, USA (Ret.), Retires from AFCEA
Association seeks candidates for executive vice president, defense.
Lt. Gen. John Dubia, USA (Ret.), will be retiring from his current post as AFCEA International’s executive vice president, defense, effective September 30.
Gen. Dubia has served his nation proudly for more than half a century. He had an exceptionally dedicated and impactful career in the U.S. Army, with command and staff assignments at every level in the artillery and developmental roles in personnel, which culminated with Gen. Dubia as a three-star general and director of the Army Staff.
A member of the AFCEA headquarters family since September 1999, Gen. Dubia has been a key leader to all AFCEANs and has filled a number of critical roles in the association. He brought an operator’s perspective to all of these positions, which has been so important because, at the end of the day, it is the operators that the association supports, says Kent Schneider, president and chief executive officer, AFCEA International.
AFCEA has begun a search for a retired flag officer to take over Gen. Dubia’s position. To view the job description, please click here.
Applications will be accepted until June 28. Selection will be accomplished in July. Applications with résumés may be emailed to Nancy Temple, vice president and international secretary, AFCEA International, at ntemple@afcea.org, or by postal mail to 4400 Fair Lakes Court, Fairfax, Virginia 22033.
