New $11 Million Contract Aims at Boosting the Army's "Telehealth" Services
Irving Burton Associates (IBA) of Falls Church, Virginia, will provide research, scientific, management and technical support services for the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), under a $11 million two-year contract with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). IBA will support USAMRMC intiatiives in the areas of Telehealth, medical simulation, medical robotics, unmanned systems, and mobile solutions. USAMRMC, headquartered in Fort Detrick, Maryland, is the Army’s medical materiel developer, responsible for medical research, development, acquisition and medical logistics management. "IBA is pleased to continue its decade of operational support to U.S Army with yet another exciting win," IBA Director of Operations Julie Olson announced. "Through this award, IBA will provide high quality experts such as Telehealth Manager, Physicians, Combat Medics and Mobile Health Manager. IBA looks forward to supporting U.S. Army TATRC in technical innovations to military health care."
