Saab Defense and Security to Handle Coast Guard Radar Systems

Saab Defense and Security USA LLC, East Syracuse, New York, is being awarded a $16,838,188 firm-fixed-price contract for Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter multi-mode radar systems. The contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $118,529,109.  Work will be performed in East Syracuse, New York (64 percent); and Gothenburg, Sweden (36 percent), and is expected to be completed by January 2019. Fiscal year 2017 other procurement (Navy) funding in the amount of $16,838,188 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The competitively procured contract had three offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity (N00024-17-C-5381).
