Sierra Nevada to Support Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Efforts
Sierra Nevada Corporation, Sparks, Nevada, is being awarded a $12 million contract modification to procure spares and consumables to support fielded Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) dismounted systems. Dismounted Joint CREW systems are electronic jammers designed to prevent the initiation of RCIED. This contract is for the procurement of spares and consumables to support fielded CREW 3.1 systems, to be used by forces in each of the military services of the Central Command area of responsibility. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
