Americom Awarded Digital Signal Contract
Americom Government Services Incorporated, McLean, Virginia, was recently awarded a $10 million firm-fixed-price contract for the Thule Tracking Station digital signal level three (DS3) service. The contract provides the government a dedicated, full period DS3 (44.736 megabytes per second), full duplex, symmetrical, serial communications digital circuit between Thule Air Base and Schriever Air Force Base utilizing commercial satellite bandwidth, contractor-provided hub equipment, teleport services and contractor-provided antennas. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity.
