Jeppesen Sanderson to Provide P-8A Software for Multiple Countries
Jeppesen Sanderson Inc., Englewood, Colorado, is being awarded a $13,846,460 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of performance planning software tools in support of the P-8A aircraft for the Navy and the governments of Australia, UK, Norway, and New Zealand. The software tools include MilPlanner, FliteDeck Pro, On-Board Performance Tool (OPT) database and OPT software, and provides an accurate, portable and error tolerant electronic means of calculating aircraft performance. Additionally, the NAV Database tool is required by the P-8A to provide aeronautical radio incorporated (ARINC)-424 navigational data. Work will be performed in Englewood, Colorado, and is expected to be completed in May 2022. Fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement (Navy); 2017 operations and maintenance (Navy); 2017 research, development, test and evaluation (Navy); and cooperative program funds in the amount of $1,344,299 are being obligated at time of award, $843,053 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases with the Navy ($12,431,351; 89.78 percent), and the governments of the UK ($279,699; 2.02 percent); Norway ($117,695; .85 percent); and New Zealand ($45,693; .33 percent), under the Foreign Military Sales program and the cooperative program - Australia ($972,022; 7.02 percent). This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity (N68335-17-D-0017).
