ViaSat to Provide Airborne Communications Services for Senior Leaders

ViaSat Inc., Carlsbad, California, was issued a modification to exercise option one for the period of June 1, 2017 to Nov. 30, 2017. This non-competitive firm-fixed price contract modification is to provide senior leaders and their support staff with Ku-band and Ka-band communications utilizing ViaSat subscription service while travelling via aircraft. The face value of this action is $19,277,009 funded by fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funding. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $73,217,722. Performance will be primarily at ViaSat’s networks operation center and government care centers. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity (HC1013-16-C-0008).
