TCOM to Develop Prototype Aerostat System
TCOM Limited Partnership, Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded an approximate $41 million contract for a prototype 22M aerostat system in support of the persistent ground surveillance systems for the Defense Department. In addition, the contract provides for technical support personnel for 22M systems outside the continental U.S., training, and prototype payload integration and test support. Ten percent of the work will be performed in Afghanistan. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.
