Find Your AFCEA Chapter

AFCEA has its foundation at the local level through the power and connections of the 138chapters, subchapters and student chapters/clubs around the world. These chapters provide the building blocks for the diverse network that supports the tens of thousands of homeland and global security, cyber, defense, and intelligence professionals in government, military, industry and academia that AFCEA serves.

Many Types of Chapters

Each chapter is unique in its leadership, initiatives and activities, but all chapters are part of the AFCEA family. Chapters connect people, ideas and solutions for global security and support the warfighter in the areas of information technology, communications, C4ISR, intelligence, and government contracting.  AFCEA chapters are led by a dedicated group of volunteer members who advance AFCEA's mission at the local, regional and international levels.

Activities at the individual chapters vary based on size, location and community needs. Chapter events range from monthly breakfasts or luncheons, to conferences, IT Days, professional development opportunities, Young AFCEAN events, golf tournaments, 5k runs, and Cycle for STEM rides.

Opportunities within Chapters

Members will find many opportunities within each chapter.  Committee and leadership positions offer a wide range of networking opportunities. Most chapters also participate in award programs recognizing the work their members do in support of the association and the communities they serve.

Chapter Educational initiatives

Chapters offer scholarships and grants in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and provide professional development opportunities to their members.
Many chapters offer sessions approved by CompTIA and/or GIAC for cybersecurity certification maintenance. Check chapter event information to see if continuing education is formally supported.
