Geopolitics, Environment and Security: Technologies, Secure Information, Synergy and Cross-Domain Collaboration
09:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The availability of reliable, timely, and protected information is now a fundamental enabling factor for addressing the major global challenges ranging from geopolitics and environmental sustainability to the security of critical infrastructures. In this context, institutions and organizations increasingly rely on advanced technologies to support decision-making processes, both at strategic and operational levels. The growing complexity of the international landscape, characterized by conflicts, environmental crises, and technological risks, requires an integrated and multidisciplinary approach capable of connecting different domains, skills, and capabilities. Emerging technologies represent both an enabling factor and a source of new vulnerabilities, making investments in research, standardization, and the development of specialized expertise essential in order to ensure resilience and effective governance of complex systems.Contemporary intelligence is based on the integration of heterogeneous information sources and the use of advanced digital infrastructures, sophisticated observation systems, data analytics tools, and artificial intelligence solutions. Within this framework, the convergence between the civilian and defense sectors is becoming increasingly significant, following a dual-use logic that enables effective responses to both public security needs and military operational requirements. Collaboration among institutions, industry, and academia therefore plays a central role in the development of innovative and interoperable solutions. The protection of critical infrastructures - such as energy networks, transportation systems, communications, and water resources - requires the adoption of advanced security models based on cybersecurity, continuous monitoring, and rapid response capabilities. In this field, quantum technologies and advanced cybersecurity solutions are assuming an increasingly strategic role, contributing to the strengthening of data and infrastructure protection. At the same time, satellite observation capabilities, integrated with terrestrial, aerial, and maritime sensors, represent a key element for territorial monitoring, risk prevention, and the fight against illicit activities. However, the growing dependence on space infrastructures introduces new critical issues, including cyber threats, interference, and challenges related to the sustainability of the orbital environment, all of which require a coordinated approach and structured international cooperation. In this scenario, the security and resilience of complex systems increasingly depend on the ability to integrate emerging technologies, strengthen the protection of critical infrastructures, and promote effective collaboration between public and private stakeholders. Only through a systemic, cross-domain, and multi-level approach will it be possible to effectively address global challenges and contribute to the development of a secure, resilient, and sustainable ecosystem.

Law Enforcement and Public Safety (LEAPS) Summit
8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
In 2026, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies will face an unprecedented and ongoing wave of high-profile events that will test the limits of public safety efforts. From the FIFA World Cup across 16 North American cities to the year-long America250 Semiquincentennial celebrations and the midterm elections, these events will draw millions of participants and global attention. This situation will create complex security challenges due to geographic spread, long durations, and the ongoing threat of advanced cyber campaigns and lone-wolf attacks. This year's Law Enforcement and Public Safety (LEAPS) Technology Forum will focus on Operational Readiness 2026: Tech Strategies for Large-Scale Security Challenges. The conference provides a vital platform to explore how emerging technologies can significantly improve law enforcement readiness and response to this unique threat environment. Specific, actionable topics will include: Integrated Intelligence Platforms: Enabling true interoperability among fusion centers, joint operation centers, and an international police coordination hub for real-time information sharing across federal, state, and local partners. Counter-UAS (Drone) Technologies: Implementing layered C-UAS mitigation strategies to protect stadiums, parade routes, and critical infrastructure. Cybersecurity Innovations and AI Defense: Protecting election systems and event networks from AI-accelerated attacks and ensuring the integrity of critical law enforcement communications. Advanced Analytics and AI: Utilizing machine learning for real-time behavioral analysis, accurate crowd modeling, and optimizing resource deployment across vast urban zones. Secure Communications and Interoperability: Establishing resilient, multi-band communications infrastructure for seamless command and control during National Special Security Events (NSSEs). Digital Forensics and Disinformation Response: Implementing proactive strategies to fight online radicalization, deepfakes, and uphold election integrity. Join us at the 18th annual LEAPS Technology Forum. Attendees will gain actionable insights into leveraging technology for proactive risk management, rapid incident response, and public trust building in an era of evolving threats. With billions of dollars in federal investment now earmarked for security and technology modernization, this is the critical moment to align strategies, share best practices, and establish the united framework that will secure the year ahead and permanently redefine the future of public safety.
