| GREATER MONMOUTH CHAPTER CHAPTER - Feb 19, 2009 |
For the February meeting, the chapter invited Col. Thierry Belloeil, Acquisition Corps, French foreign liaison officer at Fort Monmouth, to serve as the guest speaker. The colonel described the DGA, or the French defense procurement system, outlining the organizations within the DGA and its relationship with the French Armed Forces. Col. Belloeil explained the systems development and acquisition process that the French Ministry of Defense follows in addition to its contract processes. He concluded with an overview of the joint efforts among France, the European Union and the U.S. Army. |
