Thomas Shambo, a business analyst at the Pima County Small Business Development Center (SBDC), served as the featured speaker for the August meeting. He provided an overview of the resources the SBDC offers to small business, including opportunities for small businesses to expand into the federal sector. The chapter is enjoying a resurgence thanks in part to the efforts of Maj. Kevin Rook, USAF, commander, 355 Communications Squadron, and chapter president, and Larry Bingaman, deputy regional vice president. Several members of the Southern Arizona Chapter attended the meeting as a sign of support.
